The Face of ThatVanBrand®

In 1998, during the transition back in to civilian life, Van started brainstorming about "brands" and building something memorable. Shortly after, Van concocted UnCommon SocieTees, an apparel brand that would display his wit and humor on apparel, of course. Not wanting to outsource the work, a screen print press was purchased and graphic design skills were honed. A few years in to creating the endeavor, Echo4 Design was created, which was the screen-printing and vinyl business. Van spearheaded the marketing, design & SEO.

Fast forward to the early 2010's, the idea of building a brand with his better half was envisioned. The thought was, a husband & wife team sets out to put their unique mark on the apparel print community. Our goal was bring more laughter, fun and thought provoking ideas to the world. Designs built from pop culture, life experiences and a blend of old and new designs, with originality and things we randomly say or tell each other. Of course, his wife keeps the craziness to a perfect mixture.

In the end, everything "morphed" in to ThatVanBrand, simply because the idea of "personalizing" a brand allowed for a deeper story to be told.
